Ministering To Those Who Serve and Protect

Our Mission

The Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) is a national ministry comprised of Christian men and women from all areas of the criminal justice system.

Individually and through our chapters we have joined together for three purposes:

  • To provide support and accountability to Christian officers in various agencies;
  • To become more effective witnesses for Christ to those around us;
  • To learn how to disciple and train others to carry out the Great Commission.

There is a strong common bond shared by those in law enforcement, especially those who are Believers. We enjoy a camaraderie which cannot be imitated by anyone outside our unique profession. Because of this special relationship we are often provided with opportunities to share our faith with colleagues considered “hard to reach” by others in the Christian community. Through FCPO, we are further “banded together” to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our peers and fellow workers. Through the discipleship process, FCPO members teach others how to integrate Christ and Christian principles into their work, daily life and relationships.

Working With

What We Believe

God

There is one God, Holy, eternally existing and manifesting himself to us in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is merciful and loves us, but is just and must punish sin. John 14:6 & 10; Exodus 34:6,7; Matthew 28:19; John 3:16

Christ

Jesus Christ is God incarnate. He was supernaturally conceived, born of a virgin, was put to death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate, was raised from the dead on the third day and now sits at the Father’s right hand from whence He is coming again personally, bodily and visibly to this earth. Luke 1:26,35; I Corinthians 15:3,4; John 1:1,2,14

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God. He indwells all believers, having baptized them into the body of Christ at the time of regeneration. Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:13, 14; Ephesians 4:4, 5

The Bible

The scripture of the Old and New Testament was verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and it is the supreme and final authority for our faith and life. II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20,21

Grace

Eternal life is a free gift and cannot be earned. We are saved by grace and not by our own works. Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 6:23

Faith

All those who by faith receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and who confess Him as such before their fellowmen become heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9, 10; Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 8:16, 17; John 1:12

Man

We are sinners. By His death upon the cross the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse in our place. Romans 3:23; John 3:18; Galatians 3:13

Judgement

Those who reject the love of God and the saving work of Christ will be judged and punished for sin. They will be separated from God eternally. John 16:7-11; Jude 14, 15; John 3:36

Our Fellowships

When

Meetings are typically held once a month, at varying locations throughout the region.

What to expect

At fellowship meetings, you can enjoy learning and sharing God’s Word, listening to a devotional, as well as stories from the streets. If you’re not yet a member of our group, we would most certainly love to have you visit and check us out. For information about the next meeting, please e-mail us at: info@northfloridafcpo.org.

Our Outreach

As the Lord provides us with opportunities to do so, the North Florida FCPO seeks to bring the gift of Jesus Christ to those within law enforcement, as well as other citizens within our community.

We welcome these outreach opportunities with open arms, bearing in mind that ministry through service to others was set through example by Jesus Himself.
